Another cocktail innovation from the Lost Plate baijiu cocktail kit*, with a very descriptive name: ‘Coconut Cinnamon Spice Ooooo That’s Nice.’ Our favorite tasting note was discovering a bit of longan here! This is a really on the other side of sweet: the cinnamon and anise go terrifically with the coconut juice, but it’s a candy punch.
This cocktail is also super-easy to put together – it’s just a few poured ingredients – but sure feels exotic and high-effort.
Our tasting panel said:
“Deceptively basic. Yum.”
“Disarmingly sweet, but an interesting floral note at the end. A little hardwood, a bit woody. Like a really complicated dark southerns sweet team, almost?”
“This has the same sweet-but-kind-of-rotten tang that you get with longan, aka dragon eye fruit.”
Our take: super sweet, a real treat. But what to pair with this? We were stumped. Let us know if you have ideas!
